Derrick was raised in the San Fernando Valley.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Southern California in 1986, a Master of Physical Therapy Degree from Children's Hospital of Los Angeles & Chapman University in 1989, and his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals in 2005.  He has received advanced training in manual therapy and specializes in the treatment of patients with spinal disorders, headaches, TMJ, abdominal disorders and post-surgical spinal, shoulder and knee conditions.  He is a clinical instructor for physical therapy students.  He has served as a guest lecturer to physical therapy students at California State University Northridge, Chapman University and Thousand Oaks High School.  Derrick is a state and national member of the American Physical Therapy Association. 

 

Derrick has been in clinical practice in the Conejo Valley since 1990.  He and his wife Janet have two sons and remain very active in the community.  He is a member of the Conejo Valley Rotary Club.

 

In Derrick's spare time, he enjoys all sports including golf, skiing, and anything to do with the USC Trojans!
